portrait
from a reenactment at fort norfolk.
for starters, this kid was very patient with me.
i photographed him on three separate occasions today during the reenactment - the first two i wasn't happy with, and although i'm sure everyone thought i was the world's worst photographer for not being able to get a picture after so many tries, we finally came up with this.

You two captured so much in this one photo - innocence and lost youth crammed under a hat, the fear of war, ill fitting clothes, the magnitude of unknowing. His freckles dance perfectly over his bridge and make the connection between the extremes. Good work!
I love it! Thanks for coming out to the event :)
WHOAH. i'm SO glad you kept shooting, this is great!
