yearbook signing 2

another from the yearbook signing

yearbook signing

soo. today i got to cover yearbook signing at a middle school. i have to say there was something quite fun about sitting in a field bathed in the early summer sun watching middle school kids sign their yearbooks with the excitement of the summer months ahead. made me think back to my junior high days and of course, school pizza. the cool part of today was all the students who kept coming up to me and asking me to sign their yearbooks. i couldn't help but laughing. it was fun being a photojournalist there.

wedding 2

another from the wedding. bride taking a break from all the swirl of people during a portrait session.

wedding bells

shot a wedding this weekend for my part-time gig as a wedding photographer. yes, i wear a tie and a coat, but even though you can dress up a monkey, it's still a monkey. nevertheless weddings aren't as bad as everyone says and it's fun to look for the defining moments of a night like this.

girl with violin

we're doing a piece at our paper highlighting area students and their strengths. hers is, well, the violin. still working on lighting and portraiture. now that i'm doing more of this i'm even more impressed with people who are good at it. i still have a long way to go.
