long road ahead
tyshawn is waiting for a heart
i've started following his story today, hoping to follow his journey through a heart transplant.
his heart was attacked by a virus a couple of years ago and now he relies on this device to pump his blood, without it, he would die.
we talked a lot today about people complaining about their situation in life, and how it can always be worse. he's been through a lot and i hope to be able to share the uncertain future ahead.

my chevy cobalt does 97
i hung out with the state police fugitive unit today
and i thought it was going to be like the cops show - lots of shirtless people running from the cops, but instead there was a lot of waiting and a lot of dead ends. we're to go out again next week to give it another shot thankfully.
so today i mainly hauled it around the state in a police caravan, and tried to get a good shot, all the while humming that damn "bad boys, bad boys" song
and atleast i learned my kickin' chevy cobalt can clock 97 miles an hour and can corner with the best of them.

the birds and the bees
are out and thankfully it's warm again - i had to shoot bees today and i got to wear this snazzy new outfit.
at one point i had a lot of bees swarming around and it made me feel a little uncomfortable - until the woman that was helping run the business looked at me and said matter of factly, well it's because you're in their flight pattern
well excuse me...

man i wish i could be there with all my friends. it would be fun to hear lisa speak - we could have done the wave while she talked.
instead i was stuck here in hartford, where i don't think it ever gets warm. i mean, it's mid-april and i still have the heat on.

housing lottery
local families looking over homes that they hope to get placed into using a housing lottery - organizations have provided a couple of homes at a subsidized rate for two familes. here are a couple of the finalists looking over the homes.
i wish i could get a housing subsidy - and i could finally move out of the attic. i tell you, it does wonders for your social life living in an attic apartment in your mid-30s.
