so, i'm getting ready to go into video training for the next few weeks. i won't be posting much unless it's just images from the high-profile life that i lead (sarcasm).

batman 2

so this is what we ended up going with on a story on this big batman fan - a portrait while home on his lunch break. fun guy to hang out with - guess you could say it was "bat-tastic".

thank you thank you - i'll be here all week - don't forget to tip your waitresses on the way out.

berry

this is how we ended up running the berry story - worked to integrate with the design, so not so much an illustration as a page design effort.

hung out with batman today - here he gets a diet pepsi from the fridge in the garage.

piano man

this man plays and composes classical music - even got nominated for a grammy. i've never been nominated for a grammy, but i did get nominated for the secretary of my fraternity pledge class. it's the highest political honor i've ever held.

boating

this guy works for a boating place along the a local river. on tough days like today i wish i lived on a river far away from people.

but then i wouldn't have bojangles, or taco bell for that matter. i mean, have you looked at their new menu? it makes it all worthwhile.

berry

working on an illustration for a food article on berries. here's an outtake on it - we'll go in a different direction that this but it's still fun working with layers etc.

bobby part 2

Here's another one from Bobby's story. It's an exhausting process for both Bobby and his father, Bob getting through each day. But both are very close with each other and the father is devoted to his son. It was inspirational watching the family unit stick together through hard times.

bobby pass

i just finished spending time with bobby who has an aggressive form of muscular dystrophy called duchenne's disease. it's a terrible disease that has a terminal life span usually in the early 20's.

bobby is a wonderful kid, and i'm glad to have gotten to know him and spend time with him and his family. i'll post some photographs of him later today or tomorrow but first here's one with him and his prom date.
