so we had a massive storm to come through here and a barge got knocked free and came ashore.

it was so bizarre seeing this. reminded me of a lake wobegon special where everyone came from town to check out the barge.

clarity

i met this man on assignment. he's former homeless who now owns his own recording studio. we had a very intense time together speaking of life and god, and i wanted desperately to make an image that was reflective of his passion for music. i had brought lights to make the image, but later put them down, and just asked him to go to the space where he felt safe.

what an amazing moment, such intensity - a reminder, a clarity, of the power of the pageantry of the forgotten and overlooked
