i know, it's been done before. but it's always just so pretty. was editing today for the zoocation and dug this out. it's a fish pond for the tigers to jump in when it gets too hot for them. i can't imagine the horror the fish must feel at seeing a very, VERY, large orange cat jumping into the water.

bronx zoo

we do something called "daycation" at our paper and my assignment today was to go to the bronx zoo - i've heard bad things about zoo experiences in general, but i have to say it was really beautiful atleast at this one.

went to rhode island today with my buddy yoon, and while we were in providence we ran across this religious parade. it's fun just to shoot outside the normal range, doing funky things with exposure and composition. here's some street photography from the trip.

4-H is coming soon and this girl is taking care of her rabbit, getting ready for showing it in a couple of weeks.

the rabbit's name is cinnamon.

i thought cinnamon was spelled cinammon but just so you know, it's not. i would do terrible in a spelling bea.

in this photo a child calls his mom back home in israel - he gets to call twice a week. such a sweet kid, and when he talked about his father's passing he would well up and start crying. i felt for him - it's such a complicated situation, but regardless, the pain this kid felt was palpable, and i will always wonder why are we so violent towards each other.
